Her Sister's Voice isn't always an easy read, but it's an important one - and entertaining to boot. It kicks off with The Voice - sinister, seductive, chilling - one that lulls you into thinking that this is a tale of the paranormal. But it's so much more than this - it's a horror story, a family tragedy and a study of the loving bond between two sisters. Throw in a budding romance, plus believable characters, and you have a thoroughly gripping novel that inhabits your mindspace for many a long day after you've finished it. The tough subject matter is sensitively handled, and the story is ultimately uplifting. Whether you're a young person, a teacher or a parent I highly recommend this book.
Her Sister's voice is an expose of the compulsive behaviours some of us pick up from time to time. The way Lesley talks about this subject that affect a lot of teenagers is totally innovative. Her writing is simple and captivating.It's a good companion for young people and hopefully would help them make right decisions.

Her Sister's Voice, a wonderful book dealing with sensitive mental health issues. There are dark elements to the story relating to Leila's psychological battle as she deals with her emotions and those around her. It's an insightful look into the internal world of the teenager coping with self harm, an important issue for both sexes and all age groups.
A great story, with more than its fair share of suspense, some situational irony thrown in, and an amazing idea. Highly recommended.
BEING ANOREXIC SEEMS like an individual's disorder but this book shows the effects on family and friends. It all consuming so between your fears and lies there no room for anyone else.
