Great book for people who want to get tetra and breed them. Wil recommend for beginners who want to get tetra .
Cute fishes
A book that supposedly covers all the tetras but is lacking images for more than half of them is hardly thorough. Yes, knowing the technical details is important. But so too is their appearance. That should be obvious.
I get a perfect idea of the little beauties in my head before heading to the LFS because this book gives me all the spec's for the tank and complete description and likes, dislikes and compatibles along with full color PICTURES I'm re-reading it now, slower than the first time around as I am googling and Youtubing ones I might be shopping for. )
I found it informative, but I'm a beginner. It did cover most of the Tetras found at my local pet store. My biggest problem is with the digital version. I find the photos are hard to see on my android device. Still I think it's a good value for the price.
Quite a bit of useful information packed in a small, book. I was expecting to be disappointed because of the price, and I am actually quite impressed. If you have any interest in tetras or keep any as pets, this is an excellent value. I am not wasting a lot of time wading through fluff, it gets right to the useful stuff.
This is the best book about Tetras that I have seen in a long time. It is very well written and it is obvious that the author has been in the hobby for a while now as he really knows his stuff. I like all of the specific things about each variety you can read in each section and the fact that information is given that I haven't seen anywhere else. Definitely very accurate and relevant information given. As a long time aquarium hobbyist and Tetra keeper myself, I found this book invaluable to have in my collection of aquarium books.
